Strong leadership and effective teaching have led to sustained improvements in standards of attainment and rates of progress in reading, writing and mathematics by the end of key stage 2. Leaders and staff provide a broad and balanced curriculum that is enhanced by a range of extra-curricular events and activities for pupils. There is a strong capacity to ensure continued improvement. Leadership at all levels is strong and improving rapidly thanks to some astute appointments. They have successfully reversed the decline in standards since the last inspection.
